Traditional Scottish Blue Bonnet

Experience the charm of Scotland with our handcrafted Traditional Scottish Blue Bonnets, made locally by volunteers at Bannockburn House. Crafted from pure wool, these bonnets are hand-washable and have undergone a felting process at 40-50 degrees Celsius, enhancing their weatherproof qualities. Available in two shades.

Historical Significance:

The traditional bluebonnet was the iconic headwear for Scotsmen for centuries, symbolizing Scottish heritage long before tartan became popular. We also offer handmade cockades with each bonnet, symbolizing support for Bonnie Prince Charlie, who stayed at Bannockburn House.
